I Tried the Pruvit 10 Day Drink Ketones Challenge — Not What I Expected

I haven’t posted for awhile since I haven’t had anything worth sharing. But I thought I’d briefly write about a popular item I heard on TikTok. It’s called the Pruvit 10 Day Drink Ketones Challenge. Their claim is that you’ll transform yourself in 10 days thanks to the “premium fuel” that is provided by their drink. They also insinuate that you’ll lose fat, have more energy, and enjoy greater mental clarity.

Yeah. No.

I wish I could report a positive end result. Any maybe it works for some people? I took the challenge seriously, and I followed their directions quite closely. That includes starting your day with 1 drink of their KETO//OS NAT stuff. (Yuck, it was waaayyyy sweeter than I expected. Kinda gross, really). Then go for a low-carb lunch, have another KETO drink in the mid-afternoon, followed by a low-carb dinner. And drink LOTS of water throughout the day.

Done. I also used the MyFitnessPal app to help me count calories each day. I’m a fairly big guy (over 220 lbs), and I was able to stick to about 1400-1500 calories a day with a focus on proteins and veggies. For me, anything under 2100 calories a day should have meant weight loss. I also gave up alcohol and sugary drinks, and I stuck to water and black coffee in the morning.

I expected some decent weight loss results within 10 days. Of course, any end result that included increased energy and mental clarity would have been a plus. For the first 4 days, I felt worse. By day 5, I felt normal but I never did experience increased mental clarity or greater energy. So no noted benefits.

After 10 days? Yeah, nada. I lost a whopping 1.5 lbs along with $99 bucks.

I think I’ll stick with strength training/exercise and meals I enjoy. Life after 40 (make that after 50!) sometimes sucks!
