About Us

We are a couple in our mid to late 40′s who live in the southern United States. We have 8 kids between us. (Yes, it’s a bunch). We were both married previously and most of our kids are adults now. We enjoy spending a lot of time together, and we are often in deep conversation around a variety of topics which can include religion, sex, children, science, the environment, food, exercise, etc.

Our blog is currently focused on our journey with faith and our thoughts regarding Christianity and the Bible. We don’t set out to change minds. We don’t think we can. But we do believe there are many who are on a journey like we were, wrestling with doubt. It can be comforting to know you’re not alone. The struggles with doubt are common, and sometimes a person might arrive at a light-switch-flip moment of illumination because of the culmination of research and critical thinking that we go through. If our blog is of aid to you, we are truly glad.

You can read about Clay’s faith journey here, and Rebecca’s journey here.

“One of the saddest lessons of history is this: If we’ve been bamboozled long enough, we tend to reject any evidence of the bamboozle. We’re no longer interested in finding out the truth. The bamboozle has captured us. It is simply too painful to acknowledge — even to ourselves — that we’ve been so credulous. “

  1. Your blog is just the type of blog I’ve been looking to read. I started one of my own a few weeks ago, though I haven’t very much time to update it regularly. Thanks for sharing your journey. I plan to return and read more.
