Life after the age of 40 is very different from life in your 20’s and 30’s. Once you arrive into your 40’s, you’ve had over 20+ years of adult life experience to learn from, and your goals often change. Priorities change. Our bodies change (damn-it!). Our perspectives often change. Life isn’t as black & white as our young naive eyes originally thought long ago.
We are a couple in our late 40′s / early 50’s who live in the southern United States. We have 8 kids between us. We were both married previously and all of our children (save one) are adults now. As we spend time together, we are often deep in conversation around a variety of topics which includes religion, sex, children, politics, science, the environment, food, exercise, etc.
Logan started this blog with a focus on his journey with the Christian faith, especially as it regarded the bombshell that his oldest son dropped when he declared he was an atheist. While a majority of posts here are related to faith or religion, you’ll also find a mix of posts about relationships and sex (oh my!). We hope that doesn’t scare you away, and that you’ll spend a little time with us.
“One of the saddest lessons of history is this: If we’ve been bamboozled long enough, we tend to reject any evidence of the bamboozle. We’re no longer interested in finding out the truth. The bamboozle has captured us. It is simply too painful to acknowledge — even to ourselves — that we’ve been so credulous. “
